ALBUM LAUNCH SHOW BRIGHTON
SONG FOR RAIN
OUT NOW
This song pays homage to the elements and was performed live alongside the passing of a thunderstorm. The storm was unplanned, but it completed the piece without us knowing. It took the power of control and 'perfection' out of our hands, reminding us that music and life isn't about things going to plan, but about capturing moments and facing the changes and forces that are out of our control. It has become a gift that features throughout the upcoming album, of which I feel incredibly lucky to have.
Here’s a passage of 'The Rainy Day' by H.W Longfellow, of which I discovered when writing and conceptualising this piece. It feels as relevant now as it did to me then. I hope you enjoy:
"Be still, sad heart! and cease repining;
Behind the clouds is the sun still shining;
Thy fate in the common fate of all,
Into each life some rain must fall,
Some days must be dark and dreary."

A Beginning and an End
OUT NOW
This track is exploring the notion of what a beginning and an end can mean. To achieve this I looked towards the cosmos, the expanse of the universe and of time. A beginning can be an end to something and an end can be the start. We experience this at some of the most profound moments of our existence, including birth and death, both in the physical and metaphysical realms.

“This is completely assured, first-class crossover music-making, which deserves to be known far outside that ambit. For anyone who cares for music that stretches you to delight.”
